Memory verse:
“Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will yet for this be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock.” – Ezk. 36:37.
Prayer fas been identified as a vital tool for supernatural growth of the church Isa. 66:7-8; Ezk 36:37. God commanded the growth of His church. and He is committed to making it happen Mat. 16:18; Heb. 3:3. But every church that will experience growth must have the members become committed to engage the prayer altar Psa. 2:8. It is not the prayer of asking for our daily bread, but for kingdom advancement Mat. 6:9-10. This dimension of prayer is referred to as spiritual stewardship, which delivers the greatest profit 1Tim. 4:8. This means, every church that will engage in prayer is guaranteed to experience growth, while every church experiencing growth must keep on praying to keep growing.
The Impact of Prayer Towards Church Growth.
- God’s Word Increases Through Prayer.
It takes the word of God to sustain supernatural church growth. Whenever the word increase, there will be increase in the people that gather Acts 6:7; Ecc. 5:11. It takes the prayer of faith to stir increase and multiplication of the word Acts 6:4,7; Mat. 21:22. We must therefore keep praying for the continuous flow of revelation in our services Eph. 6:19; 2Ths. 3:1.
- There is Great Reward.
When we engage in prayer for church growth, we are qualified for great rewards Mat. 6:6,17-18. We should expect rewards for our prayer engagement 1Cor. 3:8.
