Memory verse:     

“Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who is on the LORD’S side? let him come unto me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him.”                          Exo. 32:26.

Our subject this week “Who is on the Lord’s side” is a fundamental question essential for the believer to maximize the kingdom life Exo. 32:26. One is either on God’s or the other side, the believer’s experiences are largely determined by his answer to this question Deu. 30:19. Therefore, being on God’s side can’t be assumed, it must be consciously decided and validated with appropriate actions.

Biblical proofs of being on God’s side.

1. A lifestyle of thanksgiving and praise.

The scriptures make us to understand that thanksgiving and praise create the atmosphere where God dwells Psa. 22:3. In essence, the believer that thanksgiving and praise is the way of life will enjoy divine presence at all times Psa. 114:1-2. In essence, the life of thanksgiving and praise is a validation that one is on God’s side.

Giants in scripture on God’s side who were made through life of thanksgiving and praise.

David was a psalmist, who would celebrate God at all times Psa. 34:1; 119:164. This lifestyle placed David on God’s side perpetually, which made him to go through life unhurt despite the serious challenges he went through Psa. 23:4.

1. Paul,

Paul also had a lifestyle of thanksgiving and praise; he instructed in his epistles severally that the believer must rejoice at all times Php. 4:4; 1Ths. 5:18. We saw him demonstrated it when himself and Silas were locked in jail, they celebrated God while in jail, and God showed up for their divine escape Acts 16:25-30.

Jesus is Lord!

Prayer.                                                 

Father in the name of Jesus, give me a new heart that is passionate for souls Ezk. 36:26.

Action.

Make thanksgiving and praise your lifestyle from now.
