Memory verse:
“If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth: and if the tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be.” Ecc. 11:3.
Our God is a covenant keeper not a covenant breaker Psa. 89:34. This means there is man’s responsibility to every of God’s promise, and God is committed to deliver His promise when man fulfills his part of responsibility. This is what is referred to as covenant mentality. This mentality will make the believer to be convinced of the rewards of his stewardship, thereby empower him to be consistent in his engagement Exo. 23:25-26.
Scriptural understanding to build a covenant mentality.
- Every secret engagement commands open rewards.
Our God sees every engagement made in secret; like investments in kingdom advancement prayers Psa. 139:7,12. He sees them to reward openly when the believer is due Mat. 6:6,17-18.
- God has records of every labor to determine our rewards.
We belong to a kingdom with records, there are books of records for recording the input of each person Rev. 20:12; Est. 6:1-2. It is what is recorded in the books that informs who will be rewarded, and what the reward of each one will be like.
- Our cloud must be filled before our rain can fall.
From the scriptures, we understand that every labor into God’s kingdom is like investment into one’s account or cloud. When our cloud is full, our rain of rewards is bound to fall Ecc. 11:3; Gal. 6:9. In essence, each believer determines his time and magnitude of rewards, by his kingdom advancement investment.
