Memory verse:
“If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth: and if the tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be.” Ecc. 11:3.
From scriptures, we understand that the mentality of man plays a central role in what becomes of his life on the earth Pro. 23:7; 4:23. For the believer that will experience the abundant life in reality, a covenant mentality becomes vital. A covenant mentality is the perspective that counts God faithful to His promise always, and that the believer has responsibilities to make the promise come true Rms. 3:4. This mentality will make the believer to be tireless in his commitment, until he experiences his desired breakthrough.
Scriptural understanding to build a covenant mentality.
- God’s covenant is eternally binding on all issues as His covenant of day and night.
The continuous exchange of the day and the night from the beginning has been kept by the covenant of God Jer. 33:20-21; Psa. 119:89. In the same way, everything in life submits to the power of God’s covenant Heb. 1:3.
- Our God abides faithful; He cannot deny Himself.
God has a nature that whatever He says, He stands by it no matter what happens Num. 23:19; 2Tim. 2:13. In essence, when He promises a thing, He is committed to deliver it has promised.
- God is ever counting our faithfulness to determine our next level of rewards.
The scriptures make us to understand that there is the responsibility of the believer to every promise of God Lk. 12:42-44. Our faithfulness to our responsibility, is what determines our eventual outcome Lk. 19:17-19.
