Memory verse:
“If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth: and if the tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be” – Ecc. 11:3.
Believer’s understanding of God as a God of covenant and a covenant keeper is vital for maximizing the kingdom life Psa. 89:34. This means we serve a God who is committed to what He says, and will never deny Himself 2Tim. 2:13. A covenant is a spiritual agreement between two or more persons, in this case God and the believer, with well-defined terms, benefits for obedience, and consequences for disobedience Deu. 28:1-3,14-15. Scriptures make us to understand that serving God is a covenant with unmatchable rewards and benefits Exo, 23:25-26; Job 36:11.
How Credible and Reliable is God’s Covenant?
- Our Secret Investments Guarantee Open Rewards.
There is no investment believers make in kingdom service that is wasted labor Pro. 14:23. Every investment in the secret that men did not see, like kingdom advancement prayers, delivers open rewards when due Mat. 6:6,17-18.
- God Records our Labor.
We serve a God who is detailed in record Rev. 20:12; Est. 6:1. God records our labor to the minutest details; this is to determine our rewards 1Cor. 3:8.
- Our Rain Falls when the Cloud is Full.
Every input in kingdom stewardship fills our spiritual cloud, like evaporation does to the natural cloud. When our cloud is full, our rain of rewards is bound to fall Ecc. 11:3. This means that we must remain steadfast in stewardship for our rain to fall Gal. 6:9.
