Memory verse:
“Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. 2 It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.” – Psa. 127:1-2.
Thanksgiving is a mystery of the kingdom that actualizes the supernatural dimension of growth ordained for the church Jer. 30:19. We understand from scripture that church growth is a function of God the Father, Jesus Christ the Master builder, and the Holy Spirit who drafts the multitude Psa. 127:1-2; Mat. 16:18; Num. 11:31. Thanksgiving is the kingdom force that stirs the three of them to work, resulting in church growth Exo. 15:11. We owe God thanks, among other things, because it is our guaranteed way to deliver the expected church growth.
The Power of Thanksgiving.
- Thanksgiving Invokes God to Do More.
When we celebrate God for what He has done, we commit Hm to do more Psa. 67:5-7; Acts 2:47.
- Thanksgiving Guarantees Next Level Growth.
When we engage in hearty appreciation for the present level, we become entitled for next level growth Lk. 17:17-19; Jer. 30:19-21.
What Are the Basis for Our Thanksgiving to God?
- For Granting Wisdom for Continuous Growth.
Wisdom is a principal requirement for growth Acts 6:2-4; 19:4-5. God is the sole source and distributor of wisdom 1Tim. 1:17; Jms. 1:5.
- For Executing Vengeance on the Enemy.
The gates of hell are enemies of church growth Mat. 16:18. God has been executing vengeance on all resistance of hell against growth of the church Acts 13:7-11.
Jesus is Lord!
Prayer.
Father, thank you for every soul saved and gathered into the church all through the just concluded Operation Run here in this church Jn. 6:44.
Action.
Thank God for increase in spite of all odds in this church and the home-cells.
Priestly Blessings.
The gates of hell are forever silenced over this assembly!
Beginning from this month, every home-cell shall manifest strange other of growth!
