Memory verse:
“Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. 2 It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.” – Psa. 127:1-2.
Salvation brought believers into a lively hope 1Pet. 1:3. We actualize this lively hope by making God’s kingdom the priority in life Mat. 6:33. This is simply by tireless commitment to kingdom advancement and church growth. Behind every church growth experience is: God – the Father Jn. 15:1-2; 6:44; Jesus Christ – the master builder of the church Mat. 16:18; Jn. 10:16; and the Holy Spirit – that drafts multitudes to the church Num. 11:31; Acts 2:4-6. This is why the mystery of thanksgiving is vital – to stir the Trinity to work Psa. 67:5-7.
The Power of Thanksgiving.
- Thanksgiving is a Vital Mystery Behind Continuous Church Growth.
Thanksgiving is a spiritual yeast that causes supernatural rise and increase of whatever it is applied Jer. 30:19.
- Thanksgiving Stirs God to Work.
We must recognize that behind every church growth experience is God at work Psa. 127:1-2.
What Basis Are We to Continue Thanking God?
- For Result Accomplished.
Whether it is a big, average, or small result, God’s hand made it happen. This is because except the Lord builds the house they labor in vain that do Psa. 127:1-2.
- For Saved Souls.
Souls saved on the field, at the altar and everywhere, are God’s handiwork. No one comes into the kingdom, except the Father draws him Jn. 6:44; 15:5.
