Memory verse:
“Then came to him the mother of Zebedee’s children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him. 21 And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom. 22 But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.” – Mat. 20:20-22.
We serve a loving Heavenly Father, who is committed to giving every good thing of life to His children (Psa. 84:7; Jms. 1:17). But we need to understand that our God operates solely by covenant, and He is a covenant keeper (Psa. 89:34). Serving God is the principal covenant demand for access to all His provisions (Psa. 34:10; Mat. 6:33). A commitment to serve God is believers’ license to an enviable life of glory (Job 36:11).
Kingdom Provision that Kingdom Service Grants Access.
- Fruitfulness.
Fruitfulness is the heritage of every child of God; this could fruitfulness of the womb, hands, mind etc. (Deu. 7:14; Psa. 1:3). But we do not beg to have children or results in the kingdom; we serve to be fruitful (Exo. 4:22-23; Lk. 10:1-2,17-19).
- Healing and Health.
Every child of God is ordained to enjoy sound health and healing when needed (3Jn. 1:2; Mat. 8:17). But we do not beg to be healed; as we serve God we are entitled to health and vitality (2Cor 5:20; Pro. 13:17).
The truth is that God is not looking for who to humiliate by demanding our service; He is looking for who to honor (Pro. 14:28; 1Sam. 2:30).
Jesus is Lord!
Prayer.
Father, endow me by your Spirit with grace to engage in kingdom service in a dimension that grants me access to all kingdom benefits (Zch. 4:6-7).
Action.
Identify ways you intend to augment your service to God.
Priestly Blessings.
I decree God’s hand to come upon you for increased service to God!
Your service to God shall be acceptable and rewarding from today!
