Memory verse:
“Then came to him the mother of Zebedee’s children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him.”
“And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom.”
“But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.”
Mat. 20:20-22.
Redemption brings believers into God’s kingdom, with exceeding and precious promises to enjoy 2Pet. 1:4. The challenge is that quite a number of believers real life experience makes the promises seem to be far-fetched. This is because we serve a covenant-keeping God and not a Father Christmas God Psa. 89:34. Kingdom service is the covenant demand for accessing the fulfilment of these promises Mat. 6:33; Psa. 34:10.
Diverse Kingdom Provisions We Access through Service.
- We Serve to be enthroned.
Redemption made a king of every believer Rev. 5:10. We do not beg to be enthroned, we serve our way to enthronement Mat. 20:20-28.
- We Serve to experience prosperity.
Prosperity is a core provision of redemption for believers 3Jn. 2. We do not cry to prosper; we serve our way into growing realms of prosperity Psa. 35:27; Job 36:11.
Therefore, God is not looking for who to rob when by His commandment for believers to serve Him, He is looking for who to enrich Mal. 3:17-18; Lk. 5:1-8.
