Memory verse:

“Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.”                            Psa. 35:27.

By redemption, a believer is brought into a kingdom that is covenant based Jer. 33:20-21; Psa. 89:34. The covenant forbids the believer from begging, because it is an anti-covenant and ungodly practice Psa. 34:10. In essence, a sound understanding of the covenant of God is the believer’s strength for the kingdom life. Serving God is identified in scriptures as the covenant demand is the believer’s access to all the great provisions of God kingdom, which will culminate in his greatness Lk. 22:25-27; Job 36:11.

The provisions of God’s kingdom that serving God guarantees include:

  1. We serve to enjoy favor.

In life, result is either by labor or favor Psa. 44:3. Both demands the input of hard-work, but the difference is that while labor has little or nothing to show, favor delivers greater result compared to the hard-work input. In God’s kingdom, we do not beg for favor, we serve our way into favor Psa. 102:13-15.

  1. We serve to enjoy long life.

God’s will for every of His child is to fulfil the number of his days on the earth, which signifies long and fulfilled life Psa. 91:14-15. Though it is God’s will, but we do not beg for long life in the kingdom, we serve our way to enjoy long life as kingdom citizens Exo. 23:25-26; Jn. 15:1-2.

We can therefore confidently say that God is not looking for who to use, rather He is looking for who to bless and make Exo. 23:25-26; Mat. 6:33.

Jesus is Lord!
