Memory verse:
“It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: 10 I shall be anointed with fresh oil. 11 Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me. 12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. 13 Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. 14 They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing; 15 To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.” – Psa. 92:1,10-15.
Thanksgiving is a vital factor in our walk with God that will result in a glorious life experience (Psa. 92:1-2,10). Thanksgiving is a covenant way we remind God of pending issues in our life to secure immediate response from Him (Lk. 17:15-19). Often, it is unmet expectations and delays in the meeting of those desires that lead to struggles and frustration in life (Pro. 13:12). This means that thanksgiving is a covenant way to be delivered from struggles and frustration (Jer. 30:19).
The Power of Thanksgiving.
- Thanksgiving Perfects Our Blessings.
God gives only good and perfect gifts; to give His children rest and a great life (Jms. 1:17). But each believer has a duty to ensure that the blessing he receives retains its perfect state, by engaging the following understanding:
- Understand that we serve a God of perfection; everything He gives and does is perfect (Deu. 32:4; Psa. 138:8).
- Thanksgiving is key to perfecting our blessings; we must learn to be thankful to retain the perfect state of God’s blessing in our lives (Lk. 17:11-19).
Jesus is Lord!
