Memory verse:

“It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: 10 I shall be anointed with fresh oil. 11 Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me. 12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. 13 Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. 14 They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing; 15 To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.” – Psa. 92:1,10-15.

Giving thanks to God is said by scripture to be a good thing; this implies every time a person does the contrary, he is doing a bad thing (Psa. 92:1; 147:1). The law of life on the earth is that what each one sows determines what he reaps; when an individual sows bad things, he reaps bad experiences (Gen. 8:22; Gal. 6:7). This is why understanding thanksgiving and commitment to it as a lifestyle is vital for a good life (Pro. 21:16). What is thanksgiving? It is the attitude of appreciation and gratitude for what one has received or what God has done (1Cor. 4:7; Jn. 3:27).

The Power of Thanksgiving.

  1. Thanksgiving Guarantees Preservation of Our Blessings.

The blessing is the game changer in life; it makes profitable and terminates struggles (Pro. 10:22; Gen. 1:28). We need understanding to position for and sustain God’s blessing.

  • God’s blessing is ordained to be forever; each person must take responsibility to stop the enemy from destroying God’s blessing on his life (Ecc. 3:14; Jn. 10:10).
  • Thanksgiving is the guarantee for preservation of our blessings (Psa. 28:5; Mal. 2:1-3).

Jesus is Lord!

Prayer.

Father, I receive the empowerment of the Holy Spirit for a life of thanksgiving; thereby positioning myself for the fulfilment of prophecies (Acts 1:8).

Action.

Take time to celebrate God for your life, and every good thing you can remember.

Priestly Blessings.

Your eyes become blind to what is not working and open to only what is working!

The voice of gratitude and celebration shall never go off from you!
