Outstanding success is the birthright of every believer Deu. 28:13; Mat. 5:13-14. Just like a baby-elephant carries the genes of ‘bigness’, so, every believer carries the genes of success. The baby-elephant must be subjected to the demands that make the big size actualized. Thus, every believer who will actualize his heritage of outstanding success must understand its demands and subscribe Jos. 1:8.

Covenant Demands for Success.

  1. The Sacrifice Factor.

What is sacrifice? It is the voluntary act of giving up something valuable (time, comfort, possession etc.) for the sake of a greater goal. Doing one’s best is diligence; going beyond one’s best is sacrifice 1Cor. 9:16-17; Php. 1:21,23-25.

The Power of Sacrifice.

  1. It Makes Extraordinary.

There is nothing extraordinary on its own. It is people’s extraordinary input that makes it happen 1Cor. 9:16-17; 15:9-10.

  1. It Makes a Star.

There is no star without a scar; sacrifice is the scar of every star Rms. 8:35-39; 2Tim. 4:6-8. Jesus Christ, the bright and morning star was made by sacrifice Rev. 22:16; Lk. 12:49-50.

  1. It Engenders Supernatural Turnaround,

Sacrifice is the biblical trigger for supernatural turnaround Psa. 50:5-6; 126:1-6.

Scriptural Examples of Giants Made by Sacrifice.

  1. Abraham.

Abraham was yet a failure at 75 Gen. 12:1-4. He met with God, and gave himself to the lifestyle of sacrifice, which turned him into a transgenerational celebrity Gen. 22:16-18; Isa. 51:1-3.

  1. Paul the Apostle.

Paul was once the chief of sinners 1Tim. 1:15. He met with Christ, and embraced the life of sacrifice, and Paul emerged a leading apostle of Christ 1Cor. 15:31; 2Cor. 11:23-28; 2Pet. 3:15.

Conclusion.

Anyone can re-write the story of his life simply by accepting responsibility. A guaranteed responsibility is the lifestyle of sacrifice.

Salvation Prayer.

To anyone reading this who desires to give their life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart:

“Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me; on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you, Jesus, for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen!”

Prayer.

  1. Father, endow me with your grace for the life sacrifice that will empower me to rise as a star beginning with this month Mat. 5:14.
