Scripture describes believers as sheep in God’s pasture, and this understanding is significant for making the most of our life Psa. 100:3; Jn. 10:16. Every sheep will always need a shepherd no matter the age and experience; a sheep can never outgrow the dependence on a shepherd Jer.10:23-24. Any sheep without a shepherd has made itself vulnerable, and places its life at risk 1Sam. 17:34-35; Psa. 23:1-6.
The Significance of Following Divine Guidance.
- It is Key to Fulfilment of Destiny.
Any vision no matter how authentic will suffer frustration without access to divine direction Ecc. 10:10,15. While vision shows the goal and the end, divine direction is what helps to take right steps to get there Exo. 13:17,20-22.
- It Secures Destiny from Destruction.
Taking the right step is vital to escape the forces that destroy life and destiny; one wrong step is enough to wreck any glorious destiny Pro. 14:12; 16:25. The undoing of many in life is not the devil or curses, but of a wrong step taken, often the individual is ignorant of.
- It is the Great Asset of Life.
Every great life is a product of life assets; one of these is access to divine guidance Psa. 23:1-6; Isa. 48:17,21. Divine direction may not appeal to human consideration, but it guarantees a profitable life Isa. 55:8; 2Cor. 11:3.
- It is the Wisdom for Successful Life.
Life is a product of the wisdom at work in man Pro. 4:7-9; Mat. 7:24-27. Following divine direction is operating in God’s wisdom, which places a man on top in life Jn. 3:31.
- It is a Personal Responsibility.
Following divine direction is one thing no one can for another Deu. 30:19. It is a responsibility people must accept individually, which eventually determine the lot of each one in life Jer. 2:14-17.
Benefits of Following Divine Direction.
Knowing the benefits of doing a thing will motivate commitment naturally Heb. 12:2.
- It Secures Divine Presence.
When we follow divine direction, God’s presence is guaranteed all the way Exo. 33:11-14. God’s presence is what makes all the difference in life Rms. 8:31; Psa. 114:1-8.
- It Triggers Supernatural Breakthrough.
When we follow divine direction, every opposition on our path loses relevance significance Isa. 45:1-3; Gal. 2:8. This makes our advancement unstoppable in life 1Sam. 12:6.
- It Renders our Enemies Helpless.
When we follow divine direction, all enemies become helpless concerning our case and life Psa. 23:1,5; Isa. 14:25-27. Walking in the path that God leads makes our life to please God, this in turn makes every enemy to be at peace with us Pro. 16:7.
Conclusion.
It is not just important to follow divine direction, walking outside of it or misdirection can be costly. Often, the individual doesn’t live to tell the story or never recover from its negative impact. I pray that none of us will never be found taking a wrong direction in life again!
