Memory verse:
“From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.” Eph. 4:16.
The church is identified in scriptures as the body of Christ, while believers form the different parts 1Cor. 12:27; Eph. 4:12. Just as the physical body of human grows by the contribution of every part, the body of Christ as well grows by the contribution of every part Eph. 4:16. The contribution is by commitment to kingdom stewardship Hag. 1:8. The good news is that it is a most rewarding venture on earth Exo. 23:25-26.
Ways of Engaging in Stewardship Towards Kingdom Advancement.
- Follow-up New Converts.
The instruction of Jesus is for us to raise disciples; these are individuals who made decision for Jesus and have adopted His principles as their lifestyle Mat. 28:19-20. This can only be achieved through follow-up of our converts Acts 15:36. The following are basic understanding for follow-up.
i) Follow-up is an essential way to ensure our fruits abide 15:1-2,16; Mat. 28:19-20.
ii) Follow-up involves checking on our converts over and again, which is a sure way to ensuring they are kept in the faith Acts 15:36; Rms. 1:11.
iii) Follow-up also involve making spiritual resources available to them that will help them build their faith in Christ, such as books, e-materials etc. 2:2; 2Tim. 3:15; Dan. 9:2.
