The scriptures make us to understand the great love God has towards the world, particularly for His children Jn. 3:16; 1Jn. 3:1. God expressed this love by presenting a platform which offers a ‘blank cheque’, whatever the believer fills into it using this platform is guaranteed to be delivered. This platform is the prayer platform or altar Mat. 7:7-8; Jn. 16:23-24. The experience of many believers is far from this reality despite engaging the prayer altar, the reason is because of lack of the understanding of how to maximize it Eccl. 10:15. Jesus taught the disciples how to make the altar of prayer deliver effective, and this is by focusing our prayer on kingdom advancement and church growth Mat. 6:9-10,33,

The blessing in praying kingdom advancement prayer.

1. It brings believers into realms of favor.

When the believer makes kingdom advancement prayers our priority, God continues to lavish His favor on that believer’s life Mat. 6:9-10,33; Psa. 102:13-15. From scriptures, we understand that favor is the key to life Psa. 30:5. In essence, lack of favor will make life to lack color, meaning and dignity. But we don’t get God’s favor by demanding for it, rather by pursuing after the advancement of the kingdom of God, particularly on the altar of prayer. Daniel, a prayer addict whose prayer was essentially about Jerusalem and God’s people, enjoyed fearful favor Dan. 2:16-23,46-48; 6:10,25-28.

Prayer is not just a system of asking and receiving; this approach has made many to be highly limited and to struggle. One can bring himself to a realm where before you ask for anything, God has delivered it in abundance to you Isa. 65:24. Such order of experience is by making kingdom advancement the priority in one’s life Mat. 6:33.
