Memory verse:   

“And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.”

God’s work is identified as business in scriptures, and every business that will be relevant must keep growing, expanding and advancing Mic. 2:10. No matter the level that a church has attained, there is a level higher that the church is to strive towards Deu. 1:6-7. We have established from scriptures that out of all the covenant forces for church growth, thanksgiving is vital to keep the church growing Psa. 28:5; Jer. 30:19. As the New Testament church kept celebrating God, the church was experiencing daily growth Acts 2:47.

Scriptural understanding that will sustain believers in thanksgiving for growth.

1. Thanksgiving is a must to keep the anointing fresh for continuous church growth.

Anointing means the power of God, which is essential to experience supernatural church growth Acts 4:33; 5:12-14. Thanksgiving is a covenant way to invoke the release of fresh anointing Psa. 92:1-2,10.

• Understand that God at work is what keeps the church growing.

The growth of the church requires that God must be at work. Among others, one basic reason is because the opposition to church growth requires God for them to be cleared off Mat. 16:18. The scriptures show us that thanksgiving is a guaranteed way to move God to God Hab. 3:17-19.

• The mystery of thanksgiving and praise keeps the church growing even unto old age.

Thanksgiving is a delight to God, and God respond to anywhere He hears believers celebrating Him Psa. 22:3. When God steps into a place, whatever is the barrier gives way, thereby leading to advancement and growth Psa. 114:1-8.

The church of Christ is ordained for unending and unstoppable growth Mat. 16:18. Though the devil will resist her growth, but as the church commit to thanksgiving, her growth becomes a guarantee.

Father in the name of Jesus, thank you for your faithful to this church, for the multitude you keep drafting, and the souls you keep saving in our services 2Cor. 3:5.
