Memory verse:
“And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.” Jer. 30:19.
There is always the place called better, higher, or more glorious than wherever the believer is found per time Pro. 4:18. The design of God is for the believer to keep accessing the next level ordained for him in life Deu. 1:6. The provision of God to empower the believer’s access to his next level is the mystery of thanksgiving Jer. 30:19.
What is it about thanksgiving that guarantee next level experience.
- Thanksgiving makes things to happen.
The scriptures make us to understand that one does not only thank God for things that has happened. Giving of thanks will trigger the release of the power of God that has the guarantee to make things happen as the believer desires Hab. 3:17-19. Even while one may not be able to put his finger on what has happened, we must continue to thank God. It might just be for the gift of life, and things will star happening Psa. 150:6; 3:5.
- Thanksgiving secures and preserves our blessings.
Whatever God does is ordained not to be short-lived, but to last forever Ecc. 3:14. In reality, many have the challenge of the blessing of God in their lives being short-lived. The reason is lack of thanksgiving by such believer’s Psa. 28:5; Jer. 13:15-17; Mal. 2:1-3. Thanksgiving is the ‘spiritual preservative’ that makes the blessing of God to last in the believer’s life.
