Memory verse:
“Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee. 29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s, 30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life” – Mk. 10:28-30.
By redemption, believers are called into serving God; kingdom stewardship is every believer’s responsibility Eph. 2:8. Our God is not a user of men; kingdom stewardship is only His platform given to believers to connect to His blessing that makes life rich Exo. 23:25-26; Pro. 10:22. We understand that kingdom stewardship is classified into three: spiritual, financial, and physical. All are highly rewarding compared to every other venture in life, but spiritual stewardship pays the most Gal. 6:7-8; 1Tim. 4:8.
Ways of Engaging in Spiritual Stewardship.
- Praying for the Establishment of New Converts and New Members in the Faith.
This is a vital way of engaging in serving God. When we pray for new converts, we shut the door against the manipulations of the devil targeted at drawing them away from the faith Lk. 11:24-26; Gal. 4:19. Praying for new converts is partnering with Christ in intercession to see them established in the faith, which we are called to do Heb. 7:25; Col. 4:12.
Everyone who is committed to getting souls into the kingdom and seeing them planted never lacks testimonies Psa. 35:27; Lk. 10:1-2,17-19.
Jesus is Lord!
Prayer.
Father, endow me with the grace for tireless commitment to spiritual stewardship, thereby turning me to the envy of all Job 36:11.
