Memory verse:

“Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee. 29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s, 30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life”                          – Mk. 10:28-30.

Serving God, which is also known as kingdom stewardship is God’s way to distinguish His children on the earth Mal. 3:17-18. It is the platform for invoking God’s blessing that makes life glorious Job 36:11. To maximize the opportunity of stewardship, we must understand that there are three basic ways to be engaged: spiritual, financial, and physical Mat. 22:37; 6:24. Spiritual stewardship pays the most; this is why it is the one the devil discourages believers from getting involved, to rob them of becoming their best in God 1Tim. 4:7.

Ways of Engaging in Spiritual Stewardship.

  1. Praying for the Needs of Members of the Church.

Praying for members’ needs is a veritable way to engage in serving God Col. 4:12. Praying for church members turns their needs into testimonies, thereby establishing them in the faith and church for life Psa. 23:6; Col. 4:12. Also, this can lead to many more being drawn to Christ and the church as they see the transformations in the lives of the new converts Zch. 8:23.

Scripture states that what we pray for others, God makes happen for us; this entitles engaging believers to delivery of their desires Eph. 6:8; Job 42:10.
