Memory verse:     

“Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.”                            Psa. 35:27.

We understand from scriptures that there is nothing man can do to either add or subtract from God, because He is the “I AM THAT I AM” Exo. 3:14. Our God is the same, He does not change Mal. 3:6; Heb. 13:8. Therefore, anything He instructs man to do is not for His benefit but man’s benefit. For instance, serving God is absolutely for the benefit of the believer, it is the access to God’s blessing that makes life rich and deliver from sorrow Exo. 23:25; Pro. 10:22.

The benefits that accrue to the believer in serving God.

1. Serving God guarantees our protection in this wicked world.

Serving God invokes the release of the power of God on the believer’s life Lk. 10:17-19. God’s power is the believer’s security against the assault of hell any time, any day Psa. 66:3. Therefore, in this wicked world, serving God guarantees divine protection of the believer Dan. 6:20-23.

2. Serving God guarantees our supernatural change of levels.

Serving God is a commandment of scriptures, it is not an advise, it is not an option Exo. 23:25. When the believer obeys God’s commandment, he becomes entitled to supernatural change of levels Due. 28:1. Therefore, when the believer commits to serving God, he is not permitted to suffer stagnation in life Gen. 42:18; Psa. 103:17-22.

In essence, the believer who commits to serving God is not being used by God, neither is he wasting his time and resources. Serving God, particularly through soul winning, brings into realms of fearful favor with God Psa. 102:13-15.

Father in the name of Jesus, empower me by your Spirit for productive and effective kingdom service in this prophetic season and beyond Acts 1:8.

Action.

Go for more souls for Christ, and prepare them to appear in church next Sunday.
