Memory verse:     

“Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.”                            Psa. 35:27.

Every believer that will make the most of the kingdom life must overcome this trap of thinking that the commandments of God are intended for God to profit. This trap makes men to think that God is dependent on man, and will seize to exist if we withdraw our support. But the scriptures make it clear that God is the “I AM”, who does not and cannot change no matter what we do or refuse to do Exo. 3:14; Mal. 3:6. For instance, our serving God does not benefit God but ourselves Mat. 6:33.

The benefits that accrue to the believer in serving God.

1. Serving God express answer to prayers.

Just like it is in the natural with men that service will make an individual to enjoy the favorable disposition of the parents or master. Serving God makes the believer to enjoy good disposition of the Father, which will result in express answer to his prayers Zch. 7:13; Jn. 15:16.

2. Serving God turns our shame to glory.

At the heart of serving God is the task of soul winning, which the bible says makes wise Pro. 11:30. And wisdom makes an individual to qualify for glory, thereby turning every form of shame around the individual’s life to glory Pro. 3:35. Therefore, serving God makes every shame to be turned into glory Dan. 12:3.

Therefore, it is wisdom to make the commitment to serving God. and the most profitable form is turning men to righteousness Mk. 3:14; 10:28-30. And this is a choice that individuals make, it is not a gift that is imparted.

Father in the name of Jesus, empower me by your Spirit for productive and effective kingdom service in this prophetic season and beyond Acts 1:8.
