Memory verse:

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:”

“For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”                 Mat. 7:7-8.

We have established from scriptures that prayer is ordained to command answer from God always Jer. 33:3; Mat. 7:7-11. Therefore, when there is no answer to prayer, there is problem somewhere. The problem is definitely not with God, it is with the believer Num. 23:19; Mk. 11:24; Jms. 4:1-3. There are principles that must be followed for prayer to command answer, when these are breached, prayer will fail to deliver no matter the effort made by the believer Hag. 1:5-6.

The scriptural demands for guaranteed answer every time we pray.

  1. Refuse to take no for an answer in prayer.

One virtue of the kingdom that will make a believer to win on any matter in life is patience Heb. 10:36; 6:12. The literal meaning of patience in scriptures is persistence; which means refusing to accept no or defeat by continuity in engaging until desired result is achieved. This applies in prayer for the believer to command answer Lk. 18:7-8; Gal. 6:9.

We saw the examples of Jacob and Elijah among many others in scriptures. Jacob refused a no for answer, as he wrestled with God in prayer until he got his desired answer Gen. 32:24-28. Elijah also refused to be deterred by an initial negative response. He continued in his prayer engagement until the rain, which he demanded fell 1Kgs. 18:40-46; Jms. 5:16-18.
