Memory verse:

“Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.” 14 For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, and favour the dust thereof. 15 So the heathen shall fear the name of the LORD, and all the kings of the earth thy glory.”

– Psa. 102:13-15.

Scripture makes it clear that favor is essential for life; walking in God’s favor makes a believer to experience the abundant life in reality Psa. 30:5,7. God’s favor is the right of every true believer; favor is the normal life ordained for believers to experience Psa. 5:12. Every believer who will experience favor is reality has the responsibility to intreat or invoke it Psa. 45:12. Praying for others is a guaranteed way to intreat the favor of God Psa. 102:13-15. When the prayer altar is no longer focused on self, but on others, walking in favor become the normal Mat. 6:33.

Understanding the Spiritual Exercise of Praying for Others.

  1. Praying for Others is Making Spiritual Investment into Lives.

Every time a believer prays for others, he is making spiritual investments into their lives Gal. 6:1-2;7-9. Such spiritual investment has great impact on the life of the one prayed for, and great harvest for believers engaged in the prayer.

  1. What Should We Pray?

Believers are faced with challenges in every aspect of life; marital, career, and business challenges, employment issues, fruitfulness etc. Praying for others involves taking up these challenges in people’s lives for divine intervention Gal. 6:2; Eph. 6:18.

AS God intervenes in the affairs of the people being prayed for, many more are attracted to Christ and the church Zch. 8:23; Acts 9:34-36.
