Scripture made us to understand that prayer is key to make the abundant life a reality, in spite of the individuals background and situation Jn. 16:23-24. All that we need is the understanding of how to make the prayer altar deliver effectively Psa. 119:144. We have identified prayer for others rather than praying for ourself, as the cheap way that prayer makes eternal life a reality Eph. 6:8; Job 42:10. Praying for others is turning prayer from an exercise focused only on receiving to giving, by this, prayer is made to deliver better result Lk. 6:38.
Understanding the Spiritual Exercise of Praying for Others.
- Praying for Others is Sowing Spiritual Seeds.
We sow spiritual seeds into the life of others when prayer and fasting is focused on others Mat. 6:17-18; Acts 20:35. Every seed sown guarantee harvest, which is always in multiple fold when compared to the seed Eph. 6:8. Spiritual seeds delivers the greatest harvest among all seeds Gal. 6:8.
- What Should We Pray?
We are to pray for church growth, which simply refers to salvation of unsaved and the establishment of the converts in the faith as they abide in church Ezk. 37; Acts 2:46-47. This demands warfare; we have to fight to disarm the enemy and release the captives for salvation Deu. 2:24; Mat. 16:18; Lk. 11:21-22.
Scripture makes it clear that in the growth of the church lies the glory of the saints Jer. 30:19.
Jesus is Lord!
Prayer.
Father, I receive fresh grace for the lifestyle of intercession from today Zch. 4:7.
Action.
Pray for all your converts this year to appear in midweek communion service of today.
Priestly Blessings.
I decree the fire on your prayer altar to burn hotter from today!
Receive a fresh baptism of the Spirit of grace and supplication on your life now!
