Memory verse:
“My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. 6 He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved. 7 In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.” – Psa. 62:5-7.
Faith is a fundamental demand to experience the abundant life of God’s kingdom Jn. 10:10; Mat. 9:29, Each believer’s faith determines his experience and the outcome of his life. Therefore, a sound understanding of the subject of faith that enhances practical walk is essential for every believer Mat. 13:23. A simple definition of faith is expectation based on God’s word Heb. 11:1. This means, to have faith is to expect what the word of God says come to pass. Scripture shows us that this is the secret behind an undefeatable life Pro. 23:18.
The Power of Expectation.
- The Example of Elijah
Elijah stirred a national revival, as he restored Israel back to the living God 1Kgs. 18:39-40. He prays answer expectant prayer with dramatic response from heaven always, leading to the turn of the people’s heart to God 1Kgs. 18:37-38;41-46.
- Expectation Is Key to Receive Answer to Our Prayers.
When expectation is out of place, answer to our prayers is not in view Mk. 11:24. To receive answer from the prayer altar, we must have clear and right expectation.
- Expectation Defines Our Thoughts.
Expectation fills the thoughts with the things expected. As our thinking becomes filled with those expectations, they are turned to reality Pro. 23:7; Dan 3:10-28.
Jesus is Lord!
Prayer.
Father, by the help of the Holy Spirit the power of expectation comes alive in my prayer life, thereby making me to prevail on the prayer altar from now Psa. 62:5.
Action.
Identify scriptures on the issues of concern to you, and make them your expectation.
Priestly Blessings.
Your expectation life is empowered afresh to stand on God’s word from now!
Your expectation shall be delivered without fail from today!
