Memory verse:
“For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.” Pro. 23:18.
We serve the praying-answering God, who has committed Himself to answer His children every time they call on Him Jer. 33:3; Mat. 7:7-8. This is the secret to the believer’s victory over all oppositions, and his access to the life of glory Mat. 17:21. But the scriptures make us to understand that expectation is core for prayer to command answer from God Mk. 11:24. This is because God is only committed to what the believer expects Pro. 23:18; 24:14.
The power of expectation in the place of prayer.
- Ezra and the Israelite’s prayer showed the place of expectation for answered prayer.
Ezra and the Israelite engaged the power of expectation on the prayer altar, and God answered them expressly as He granted their request Ezr. 8:21-23.
- Expectation powers prayer to deliver result.
The scriptures make us to understand that only what the believer ask in prayer believing that he shall receive Mat. 21:22. The word ‘believe’ simply means to expect; what one truly believes is what one will is eager or expecting to see become a reality.
- One sure evidence of expectation is our words.
One cannot be expecting one thing and be speaking another. Whatever is the expectation of an individual will show through the words he speaks 2Cor. 4:13. In essence, the believer must keep speaking the reality of his expectations to see his prayer deliver the desired result Mk 11:23; 1Sam. 17:26,32-37,45-47.
Jesus is Lord!
Prayer.
Father in the name of Jesus, I receive the help of the Holy Spirit for right expectation that will make my prayer deliver, thereby make me fruitful in this prophetic season Rms. 8:26.
Action.
Specify the target you have for this ongoing Operation Rescue 2024; the number of souls to win for Christ, the minimum number to see established in church etc.
