Memory verse:
“Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.”
“Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.” – Isa 66:7-8.
Why the much drive for church growth? Often, people misconstrue it for the ambition of pastors who are after fame and financial gain. While that may be true some, but it is because church growth is the heartbeat of God, His expectation, and proof of His life in the church Lk. 13:6-9; Mat. 16:18; Pro. 4:18. Growth, whether natural or spiritual, places demand on whoever desires to experience it. Prayer is the core demand for church growth Isa. 66:7-8; Ezk. 36:37.
The Power of Prayer in Commanding Church Growth.
- It is the Birth Place of Multitudes into the Kingdom.
The altar of prayer and fasting is the platform for spiritual labor, where souls are birthed into the kingdom Isa. 66:7-8; Gal. 4:19. Until souls are spiritual secured in prayer, they cannot be harvested physically into the kingdom and church.
- It is the Mystery for Taking Territories for Christ.
Believers are God’s battle axe for turning the kingdom of this world to the kingdom of our Lord Jer. 51:20. As our hands are lifted in prayer after the order of Moses, our labor after souls continues to take territories for Christ Exo. 17:12; 1Tim. 2:8.
- It is the Covenant Hammer that destroys all Forces of Resistance.
Prayer and fasting destroys all forces resisting the continuous growth of the church Isa. 58:6; 1Cor. 16:9.
