Memory verse:     

“That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.”             – Heb. 6:12.

We belong to a kingdom, God’s kingdom. with great and precious promises that make giants, queens, and kings out of ordinary people 2Pet. 1:3; 1Pet. 2:9. A veritable platform for emergence of giants in the kingdom is serving God Lk. 22:25-27. Kingdom service is more than being active and fervent in the church; a good understanding is vital to maximize the opportunity. One of the ways we serve God is through prayers and fasting Lk. 2:37. Scripture states clearly that kingdom advancement prayer is a secret investment that guarantees open rewards Mat. 6:6,17-18.

Scriptural Example of Prayer-Made Giant.

1. Abraham.

Abraham is identified in scripture as a passionate intercessor. He stood in the gap for Sodom and Gomorrah, petitioning God for a reversal of the verdict of destruction on the two cities Gen. 18:17-33. Though, they were eventually destroyed, but his intercession led to the rescue of Lot and his family Gen. 19:15-22. By this lifestyle of intercession, Abraham had tarried so long in God’s presence to the extent that the nature of God robbed off on him. He experienced mortality being swallowed up in his life; as he was able to bring forth his son at a very old age contrary to science Rms. 4:16-20. Also, Abraham could undertake a 3-day trek and climbing of mountain at the age of 114 years Gen. 22:1-18.

Father, baptize me with the Spirit of grace and supplication at a level new thereby making me an effective kingdom steward Zch. 12:10.
