Abraham was seventy-five years old, who does not have the background of knowing the living God. He was at the stage failure personified and had nothing going for his life. He had an encounter with God, where God promised to make of him a great nation if he makes the choice to follow in life Gen. 12:1-4.
Abraham chose to follow this God whim he has known, and yet could not see with his physical eyes. In doing this, he established a lifestyle of communicating with God regularly and this made him into an intercessor. He stood in the gap for Sodom and Gomorrah to negotiate their deliverance from destruction Gen. 18:17-33.
Among the outcome of the prayer lifestyle in Abraham were; mortality was swallowed up Rms. 4:16-21; and he defied aging process when he undertook a 3-day trek at the age of about 114 years Gen. 22:1-18.
