Memory verse:
“And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.”
- 5:5.
All great men in scriptures have their greatness traceable to a point where they had an encounter with God Isa. 51:1-3. This is the point from where their effort began to count in life. This means that all effort of a man in life put together cannot produce the result of one encounter with God Jn. 15:5; Psa. 127:1-2. Remember, encounter with God answer to preparation of man Exo. 19:10-11. In essence, only men that are spiritually prepared that qualify for encounter with God.
Vital understanding essential for encounter with God.
- Every genuine encounter engenders a turnaround.
Our God is the overturning God Ezk. 21:27. In essence, when any man encounters him, there is supernatural turnaround in every area of his life 2Cor. 3:18.
- One encounter with God turned Peter into a leading apostle.
Peter was an ignorant. Unlearned, and ordinary fisherman Acts 4:13; Lk. 5:1-11. In today’s word, it means an illiterate. He met with Christ, and a leading apostle was made out of Peter an ordinary fisherman Acts 2:14-41; 5:15-16.
- Every encounter reinforces the confidence of believers in God.
Encounters with God brings into personal level of knowledge of God Gen. 32:30. This reinforces one’s confidence in God like we saw in Abraham Rms. 4:17-19.
Remember, encounter with God places demands on man. One of such demands is a lifestyle of praise because God cannot resist the atmosphere of praise Psa. 22:3; 24:7-10.
Jesus is Lord!
Prayer.
Father, in the name of Jesus, I receive the help of the Holy Spirit to prepare spiritually, thereby not miss my encounters at Shiloh this year Pro. 16:1.
Action.
Make the choice for praise as a lifestyle from now.
Priestly Blessings.
You shall experience God like you have never had before this time!
I decree that your greatness in life shall begin to find expression from now!
