Here this, no matter the length and severity of the draught and dry season, when rain falls the hardship is terminated and fruitfulness begin. So, it is in life when an individual encounters God, it is like rainfall in draught. Psa. 65:9-10. It will end all struggles and dry season in a man’s life. The issue is that every divine encounter is rooted in adequate spiritual preparation Amos 4:12.
Vital understanding essential for encounter with God.
- Every genuine encounter builds and strengthens the faith of the believer.
We understand from scriptures that close association makes one to become like who one associate with Pro. 13:20. In essence, an encounter with God positions the believer for impartation with the faith of God Rms. 4:17-21.
- One encounter with God turned Moses, an 80-year-old, to a legend of all times.
Moses, a fugitive and murderer, went on exile to save his life from death Exo. 2:11-15. He had encounter with God, and at eighty years of age become the most celebrated prophet till date Exo. 3:7-10; Deu. 34:10-12; Acts 3:22.
- A genuine hunger for God is vital for encounter with God.
A hunger for God is proved by hunger for God’s word 1Sam. 3:21 Jn. 1:1. Without a hunger, no one can have an encounter with God and the word provides the right platform Isa. 55:1-2,11; 41:17.
Therefore, the responsibility of every believer who loves to make the most of the upcoming Shiloh is to prepare spiritually Exo. 19:10-11.
Jesus is Lord!
Prayer.
Father, in the name of Jesus, I receive the help of the Holy Spirit to prepare spiritually, thereby not miss my encounters at Shiloh this year Pro. 16:1.
Action.
Let the hunger for encounter with a word from God be created in you now.
