Memory verse:
“And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.” – Exo. 3:8.
Redemption promises greatness to the believer no matter his background, credentials and men’s judgment Mat. 5:13-14. This is because the kingdom of God that redemption introduces the believer into is the kingdom of giants Rms. 8:17; Lk. 1:32. But the believer has the responsibility to grow into greatness like Christ Lk 2:40. The scriptures make us to understand that encounter with God is the pathway to rise into greatness in the kingdom Gen. 6:5-6,13-18.
Learning from those who had encounters with God in scriptures.
- One encounter with God turned Moses to a legend of all times.
Moses was 80-years old, exiled in a strange land, working under his father-in-law Exo. 2:15-21. But one encounter with God turned the fugitive Moses to the legend we know and celebrate today Exo. 3:7-10.
- One encounter with Christ made a leading apostle out of Peter.
Peter was an ordinary fisherman, whose scriptural picture pointed to one who seems to be struggling at work; Lk. 5:5; Jn. 21:3-5. But one encounter with Christ turned him from struggle to a leading apostle Mat. 4:19-20; Acts 2:14-41; 5:15-16.
- A genuine crave is essential for encounter with God.
The believer that will have an encounter with God must possess a genuine crave for encounter Isa. 55:1-2,11; 41:17.
Jesus is Lord!
Prayer.
Father in the name of Jesus, Shiloh 2023 shall be my mountain of encounter with God that will make me to return with a new name from God 1Sam. 3:21.
Action.
Spend time to think on your Shiloh 2023 expectations, to set yourself on fire for encounter.
