Memory verse:

“And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.” Lk. 19:13.

Occupy till I come is the scriptural instruction to the believer; which means that the believer should get himself occupied with the task given until Jesus’ return Lk. 19:13. The instruction suggests that the believer is not given the room for a break time or holiday. His engagement is not to be a seasonal thing, rather it must be continuous and consistent until the return of the master. The task is kingdom advancement endeavor, and continuity at it is what advances the destiny of the believer Mat. 6:33; Job 36:11.

Scriptural understanding that empowers the believer to keep laboring to the end.

Understand that when one stops serving, he is no longer eligible for promotion.

The believer that is still in service is the one qualified to enjoy promotion for his engagement Lk. 19:17-19. No matter how much has been invested into service, when the individual drops off from serving, the promotion due to him becomes inconsequential. In essence, it is only by continuity in service that one has the guarantee of experiencing change of story and levels.

The believer must be met on his duty post of service to enjoy rewards.

We understand from scriptures that faithfulness in service is a vital demand for rewarding service Pro. 28:20. The scriptural definition for faithfulness in service is being consistent in one’s commitment to service, this means the believer is always on duty serving no matter the situation Mat. 24:45-47. This is the guarantee for rewards in kingdom service.

Therefore, the instruction to occupy till Jesus comes is essential for kingdom stewardship to be profitable. The believer needs help for continuity in service; this is the ministry of the Holy Spirit to the believer, to provide the help Acts 26:22; Acts 8:26.
