Memory verse:
“And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: 2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.” – Deu. 28:1-2.
Our action has voice, which God hears, life responds to, the devil recognizes, and God hears 1Sam. 2:3. Scripture states clearly that the voice of action is louder than that of the mouth 1Sam. 15:22-23. The act of obedience triggers God’s blessing; when a believer makes the choice to walk in obedience, he will walk in the blessing of God Deu. 28:1-2. Many are praying for God’s but are not experiencing it, because they are not walking in obedience to God. This shows that obedience has louder voice than the mouth.
Scriptural Helps for Obedience to God’s Word.
- Understand that Obedience Invoke Divine Presence.
Obedience will always invoke the manifest presence of God (Jn. 14:21,23). Divine presence is the master key to a world of noiseless breakthrough (Rms. 8:31).
- The Example of Two Widows in the Old Testament.
These two widows are the widow of Zarephath and the Shunamite woman. They through their obedience stepped into realms of supernatural supplies in hard times (1Kgs. 17:8-15; 2Kgs. 4:1-7).
- Obedience Secures Supplies of Believers Needs.
Obedience to God’s commandments is gateway to having all our needs in life met (Deu. 28:1-3).
Jesus is Lord!
Prayer.
Father, I make the choice for obedience to every instruction of God; empower my choice by your Spirit for life (Deu. 30:19).
Action.
Refuse to accept any excuse for disobedience to God.
