God’s blessing is the maker of man’s life on the earth; the level to which an individual carries the blessing of God determines will determine his success (Pro. 10:22). God’s blessing is released in response to each person’s obedience (Deu. 28:1-2). Any aspect of life where things seem not to be working shows the area an individual in all probability is mot walking in obedience to God. The truth is that obedience may not be convenient, comfortable, or palatable, but its outcome always outweighs the cost (Psa. 126:5-6).
Scriptural Helps for Obedience to God’s Word.
- Understand that Only the Obedient Ever Experience the Blessing.
It is in practice that one can experience the worth of obeying God (Jms. 1:25). This means that no one knows what is in obedience until he has obeyed (Gen. 12:1-4; 22:15-18). Stop wishing obedience, start taking steps of obedience.
- The Example of the Israelites at Jericho.
Jericho was the first city the Israelites had to face in the Promised Land. It has massive perimeter wall that was impenetrable (Jos. 6:1-2). God gave them instructions on what to do, and their obedience brought the massive walls down (Jos. 6:3-20)
- Obedience Opens New Chapter.
The life of each person is like a book with many chapters (Isa. 29:11-12). Every act of obedience opens a new chapter in our life (Jos. 1:8; Jn. 9:1-8).
Jesus is Lord!
Prayer.
Father, I choose to obey every of your instruction; empower my choice by your Spirit for life (Deu. 30:19).
Action.
Refuse every excuse for acts of disobedience in your life from now on.
Priestly Blessings.
I rebuke the spirit of disobedience in your life right now!
Obeying God becomes a delight and your lifestyle from today!
