Poverty has become generational with many people, and they are accepting the lie that it is a curse on their lineage. Poverty and prosperity are products of certain factors; in essence, there are things that make poor or rich Jos. 1:8; Pro. 23:4; Hag. 1:5,7.

What are the Factors that Breaks Generational Poverty and make Wealthy?

  1. Be committed to practicing the covenant of prosperity.

Wealth is a covenant, when we do our part God is committed to prosper us Deu. 8:18. Essentially, our part has to do with giving or sowing our see Gen. 8:20-22; Eccl. 11:1-7. We therefore need a good understanding of the covenant, a committed walk in it, to break the yoke of poverty off our life.

  • Be committed to hard work.

The blessing of God is the cure for poverty, but it can only get across to the believer through the work of his hand Pro. 10:22; Psa. 1:3. Therefore, to access God’s blessing that makes for riches in life:

  • Don’t be ideal, find something to do, and be aggressive in your commitment to it Pro. 13:4.
    • Ensure what you do is legit Jer. 17:11.
    • Don’t wait for a job, learn a trade or engage yourself with your potential Lk. 19:13.
    • Don’t see any work as menial, it is people that define office not the other way round Rms. 11:13.
  • Be a problem solver.

Don’t just be into a work, but let what you do be solving a problem. Joseph in Egypt solved the looming problem of global famine; this was what brought his sudden rise out of poverty into global financial fame Gen. 41:15-16,38-43. The good news is that each is created by God to solve a problem in life. If you working, but you cannot identify the problem you are solving, you might be a slave without knowing.

  • Commit to financial integrity.

Financial prosperity is a trust; God releases His wealth to only those He can trust with it Eccl. 2:26. Integrity in finance is core to earn to this trust Lk. 16:11-12. When a man is financially crooked, not straight, and a thief, he has removed his name from those God will prosper.

  • Be committed to speak prosperity.

In this kingdom, what you say is what you see Psa. 81:10-14. As long as a believer will keep saying “I don’t have”, he will never break free from poverty. As long as a believer is committed to the factors discussed here, his word is what he needs to trigger the release of the prosperity he is due to experience.

In conclusion, you can walk your way out of poverty, and that can begin right now. But the starting point is your redemption from the yoke of poverty, and that can only be by the blood of the Jesus Rev. 5:12.

To anyone reading this that will love to give his/her life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you Jesus for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for

Prayer.

Father in the name of Jesus, the yoke of generational poverty is taken off my life; I decree my financial liberty right now Col. 2:14.
