Memory verse:
“Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.” – Psa. 35:27.
Redemption brought every believer into the blessing of Abraham, and God’s blessing empowers for riches in life (Gal. 3:13-14; Pro. 10:22). This implies that God’s design for every one of His children is a prosperous life, but each has to accept responsibility to actualize this (Deu. 28:1-2). A basic responsibility to experience the reality of prosperous life is being committed to serving God (Job 36:11). Serving God is about laboring towards the advancement of God’s kingdom and growth of the church (1Cor. 3:6). Everyone engaging in soul winning is entitled to wages, with the outcome of prosperity (Jn. 4:35-36).
Scriptural Example of Giants Made Through Serving God.
- Job.
Job is an acclaimed servant of God; God has this testimony of him, even Satan attested to this truth (Job 1:8-9; 13:15). He was a lover of God, which is a vital factor for service (Job 13:15; Mat. 6:21,24). Job was also a lover of men; one cannot truly love God and not love men (Job 29:4-18; 1Jn. 4:20-21). Job demonstrated his heart of service in undying commitment to the well-being of the less privileged around him; he was so committed that he engaged himself in praying for his friends while he was still in affliction (Job 42:10). Job emerged on the platform of service as the most blessed and the greatest of his days (Job 1:1-3; 42:10-12).
