Memory verse:
“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.” Jn. 15:16.
We serve the God of rewards, who has given His word to always reward His children who diligently serve Him Heb. 11:6; Rev. 22:12. The reward of God is the maker of man on the earth Pro. 10:22. But the scriptures make us to understand that God’s reward answer to the laborer in the kingdom, not just every believer Lk. 19:13-19. In essence, the believer must become committed to labor in the kingdom to become entitled for rewards.
Scriptural understanding that empowers believers for labor that qualify for rewards.
- Every believer has a ministry of reconciliation.
The only thing that God is interested on the earth is the soul of man Jn. 3:16. Therefore, the labor that will attract God’s reward must culminate in the salvation of souls Jn. 15:16. The good news is that every believer is given the capacity for this task, because every believer has the ministry of reconciliation 2Cor. 5:17-20.
- No one ever changes class without personally writing the prescribed exam.
We saw that Abraham was tested by God before he gained access to the generational status in life Gen. 22:1-3,16-18. In the same way, the demand of reconciling the lost back to God is a fundamental exam for every believer, which will determine how each one will be changing levels in life 1Pet. 1:7; Lk. 19:17-19.
- God deals with us as individuals.
The scriptures make it clear that God does not promote groups, he promotes individuals Psa. 75:6-7. In essence, every believer that will qualify for God’s reward must have an individualistic perspective towards kingdom labor. Though the scriptures encourages us to form kingdom partners or team, we must ensure we are not docile in the partnership but deliver personal result Ecc. 4:9; Lk. 10:1.
