Memory verse:
“Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the LORD: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged. 2 Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.” – Isa. 51:1-2.
What becomes of each person is determined by him Jos. 1:8. The truth is that another person’s word, action, or intention does not have the ability to define one’s outcome except we give the permission. What determine each person’s lot is the opportunities open to him Ecc. 9:11. There is no one who lacks opportunity, they keep coming time and again, but our response either to seize or dodge them determine our outcome Rev. 3:20; Deu. 30:19. To utilize opportunity, it must meet us in a prepared state 2Chr. 27:6. Everyone that desires greatness has the responsibility to live prepared for opportunities.
Responsibilities that Prepare Believers for Maximizing Opportunities.
- Seek Empowerment By the Holy Spirit as an Individual.
Power is a fundamental demand of life; it places believers in charge over life affairs Lk. 24:49; 4:14. The Holy Spirit is the source of empowerment, the ultimate pawer Acts 1:8; Mic. 3:8. When the Holy Spirit came upon Jesus, He erupted with power Lk. 3:21; 4:14. The Holy Ghost came upon the apostles and they began to operate in power Acts 2:1-4; 4:31-33. Just like the oil in one’s lamp cannot lit another, empowerment of the Holy Spirit answer only to personal crave and demand Isa. 44/:3-4; Jn. 7:37-39.
