Memory verse:
“Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the LORD: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged. 2 Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.” – Isa. 51:1-2.
Understanding is vital to make the most of life; who we are is defined by our level of understanding Psa. 119:144; Pro. 21:16. An essential understanding is that life is a function of the opportunities one is able to utilize Ecc. 9:11. The good news is that no person lacks opportunity; it keeps coming time and again Mat. 25:14-15; Lk. 19:13-15. Our choice as individuals is what determine our lot, either to embrace or ignore opportunities Rev. 3:20; Deu. 30:19. What makes people to achieve greatness is seizing opportunities; which is a result of being prepared before opportunity shows up.
Responsibilities that Prepare Believers for Maximizing Opportunities.
- Building Ones Faith as an Individual.
Faith is a foundational factor that defines the life of individuals, because it is to everyone according to his faith Mat. 9:29. Hab. 2:4. Faith empowers believers for great accomplishment, lack of it makes one to be helpless in life Mat. 14:24-31. Faith sets the limit of what can be performed in each one’s life Lk. 1:45; 2Chr. 20:17,20. The task is that faith has to be built, and it is a personal responsibility Rms. 10:17. Believers who desire to make the most of life must accept the responsibility to keep building their faith, when opportunities show up, they have the faith to utilize it.
