Memory verse:
“For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.” Heb. 4:2.
Redemption brought the believer into the world of blessings, thereby making the believer to experience the life of unending profits Jn. 10:10; Pro. 4:18. This is God’s designed to bring the believer to the topmost top in life. From scriptures, we understand that the pathway to actualize this is by commitment to obeying whatever God tells us to do Deu. 28:1. It is true that the commandment of God might be demanding, but the outcome of obeying them always outweigh the demands it places on man 1Jn. 5:3.
Basic commandments of God as contained in scriptures.
- The stewardship commandment.
One of the basic commandments of God to the believer is to be a faithful steward in the kingdom Lk. 19:13. A faithful steward is one with good understanding of his responsibility, and the commitment to the end without supervision Mat. 24:45-47. The scriptures make us to understand the core responsibility of every believer is the reconciliation of lost souls to God and their establishment in the faith 2Cor. 5:17-20; Jn. 15:16.
From scriptures, we understand that faithful stewardship brings the believer into realms of supernatural blessings Pro. 28:20. Some of these blessings are:
- Fruitfulness and longevity in life 23:25-26.
- Supernatural deliverance from the forces of wickedness 10:1-2,17-19; Dan. 6:20-23.
- Healthy living even to old age 5:17-20; Pro. 13:17.
