There is nothing God commands that does not hold great rewards for us when we obey Deu. 28:1-2; Jms. 1:25. Prayer and fasting are God’s commandments to every believer, with wonder profits they offer Mat. 6:6,17-18. Among the wonders of prayer and fasting is the breaking of barriers, both visible and invisible Mat. 17:19-21. This means that while prayer and fasting places great cost on a believer, the returns outweigh the cost 2Cor. 4:16-18.

What is in Prayer and Fasting that Breaks Barriers?

  1. Outbreak of Power.

Prayer and fasting will always result in the release of God’s power, which guarantees every barrier is broken Psa. 63:1-2; Exo. 13:14.

  1. Release of Divine Wisdom.

Prayer and fasting facilitate access to the manifold wisdom of God that clears barriers off our path Jms. 1:5; Eph. 3:8-11.

Profitable Approach to Fasting.

  1. Come Thanking, Praising, and Worshipping.

These are demands for access to God at the prayer altar, without which our labor will become a waste Psa. 100:4; Mat. 6:9-10.

  1. Engage the Force of Faith.

Faith is an essential that guarantees answers in prayer, otherwise we will only engage in futile labor at the altar of prayer Mat. 21:21-22; Mk. 11:24.

  1. Come Boldly and Not Beggarly.

Boldness here connotes confidence in God that He is able, willing, and committed to deliver our desires and requests 2Tim. 1:12. Boldness will secure God’s attention and response in prayer always Heb. 10:35; 4:16; Isa. 38:1-5.

  1. Be Committed to Kingdom Advancement.

When the priority of our prayer and fasting is kingdom advancement, answers from God to our desires and requests are guaranteed Mat. 6:9-10,17-18,33.

Other Covenant Forces for Breaking Invisible Barriers.

  1. Keep Serving God and the Kingdom’s Interest.

Our commitment to serve God and His kingdom stirs God’s manifestation in our situation, which makes all barriers clear off our path 2Chr. 15:12-15; Psa. 114:1-8; Lk. 10:1-2,17-19.

  1. Keep Growing in Your Love for God.

Love for God secures the manifestation of God’s presence in believers’ lives 1Jn. 4:16; Eph. 3:17-19. God’s presence is the covenant hammer that no barrier of life can withstand Psa. 24:7-10; Isa. 64:1.

  1. Keep Speaking Boldly Against the Barriers.

Believers’ words are powerful covenant tools that all barriers respond to Lk. 21:15; Psa. 81:10-14.

Conclusion.

I strongly perceive that this year is our moment, and God has presented us with these 21 days of prayer and fasting to determine what we make of it as individuals. When an individual misses his moment, he ends up in torment Lk. 19:41-44. Let us accept responsibility to maximize our opportunity and thereby seize our moment.

Salvation Prayer.

To anyone reading this who desires to give their life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart:

“Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me; on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you, Jesus, for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen!”

Prayer.

  1. Father, in the name of Jesus, empower me by the Holy Spirit for the 21-day of prayer and fasting, thereby making it a most profitable exercise for me 4:1-2.
  2. Father, in the name of Jesus, I am returning from the annual 21-day prayer and fasting after the order of Jesus, in the power of the Spirit 4:14.
  3. Father, give me encounters with light on this mountain of prayer and fasting that will turn my goals and objectives to testimonies at my return 9:28-33.
