Redemption promises the believer a wonder life characterized with abundance of all things Deu. 8:7-9; Jn. 10:10. Many who claim to be redeemed are not exhibiting this because they lack the understanding of how Ecc. 10:15; Hag. 1:5-7. From scriptures, we understand that the kingdom lifestyle that will produce this order of experience is praise lifestyle Exo. 15:11. What is praise? It is celebrating God for His person and what is written, not what may be happening Psa. 56:4,10.
Why Engage in Praise?
The understanding of ‘why’ of a thing; in essence, the reason for doing it is vital for commitment to it Pro. 29:18.
- Praise is one of the covenant demands for supernatural breakthroughs.
Breakthrough means advancement in spite of obstacles, and this is the design of God for the believer Pro. 4:18; Exo. 14:14-15. Obstacles are normal in life, and the more they are, the greater is the height ordained for the believer 1Cor. 16:9. In the midst of the many and intimidating obstacles, the believer is ordained to keep making progress in life Psa. 23:4. How? Praise is the believer’s secret to supernatural breakthrough; when it becomes the lifestyle of the believer, breakthrough becomes his continuous experience Isa. 54:1-4; Psa. 67:5-7.
- Praise is the covenant platform for the rise of giants in the kingdom.
Every believer by redemption is ordained a giant in life Mat. 5:13-14. At redemption, the seed of greatness is planted in the believer, it only requires nurturing to make him emerge as a giant. Praise is the covenant way to nurture this seed of greatness Hab. 3:17-18; Psa. 67:5-7. David, the praising giant emerged a giant of giants Psa. 34:1; 1Sam. 16:15-19; 18:6-7; 2Sam. 23:1-4.
- Praise is the covenant platform for the rise of new generation Abraham.
Abraham rose from an insignificant background to become blessed in all things and the epitome of God’s blessing till date Gen. 24:1; Gal. 3:13-14. From scriptures, we understand that praise was Abraham’s secret as he kept celebrating God for what He has said, which was identified as strong faith in God Rms. 4:17-20. The scriptures instruct that the believer is to follow Abraham example, to emerge with the same order of result as Abraham in life Isa. 51:1-2; Heb. 6:12.
- Praise is guaranteed way to fresh anointing.
The anointing is the Holy Spirit at work in the life of the believer, which is what determine the level of power the believer operates Isa. 61:1. From scriptures, we understand that the anointing is vital to what the believer’s life experience and outcome Psa. 89:20-24; 103:15-17; Isa. 10:27. God had to anoint Jesus for Him to be able to fulfill His destiny on the earth Acts 10:38. Praise is the believer’s access to fresh or new level of anointing Psa. 92:1-2,10-15.
In conclusion, praise is not just an item on church service program, neither is it spiritual entertainment. Praise is the way of life in God’s kingdom that gives the believer command and makes all life affairs to answer to him.
To anyone reading this that will love to give his/her life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me, on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you, Jesus, for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen!”
Prayer.
Father in the name of Jesus, empower me by your Spirit for the lifestyle of high praise from today Isa. 61:1,3.

Prayer and fasting are commandments of scripture ordained for believers profiting Mat. 6:6,17-18; Isa. 45:19.
