When faith comes alive, everything in a believer’s life is guaranteed to begin to work Mk. 9:23; Mat. 9:29. This means that when anything seems not to be working, faith is lacking in the person. Therefore, we need to know what faith is and how to make it work for us to enjoy life where everything works Hos. 4:6; Ecc. 10:15.
What is Faith?
- Faith is Obeying God to Prove that You Believe Him.
When we do, we move God to confirm His word Jms. 2:18; Mk. 16:20.
- Faith is Reasoning with God in the Light of His Word in Order to Discover What to Do for His Promises to Be Actualized.
Doing what the scripture instructs enforces the delivery of God’s promise 1Tim. 4:13-15; Heb. 4:12.
- Faith is Not Waiting for God to Work; it is Putting God’s Word to Work.
When God’s word is put to work by a person, he has put God to work in his affairs, thereby committing God to fulfill His promise 2Cor. 6:2; Php. 2:12; Pro. 3:27-28.
How Powerful Is Faith?
- Faith Secures the Hand of God at Will.
Faith will always move God’s hand to work in one’s affairs, and the hand of God guarantees fulfillment of every of God’s promises Isa. 53:1; 1Kgs. 8:15,24.
- Faith Invokes Divine Intervention.
Whenever faith comes alive, God’s intervention is experienced in believer’s situation Mat. 9:27-28; Mk. 2:1-12. Divine intervention guarantees solution to every human and earthly challenge Mk. 10:27.
- Faith Draws on the Power of God to Accomplish the Impossible.
Faith is the trigger to God’s power; at every instance of faith, God’s power is unleashed into believer’s situation Lk. 8:40-48; Dan. 6:6-16,19-23. When God’s power manifests, impossibilities with men are turned into cheap possibilities.
- Faith Commits God’s Integrity to Confirm His Word.
When the faith of a believer comes alive, God’s integrity is invoked, which results in the confirmation of whatever He said concerning the situation of concern 2Tim. 2:13; Heb. 6:18; Tit. 1:2.
How to Keep Our Faith Growing.
Faith is a spiritual virtue with elastic capacity for growth; the level of one’s faith is a function of growth, and it determines one’s experience.
- Faith Grows By Feeding on God’s Word.
Hearing, meditating, and spiritual understanding of the Word of God grow the believer’s faith Acts 8:23-26; Rms. 10:17; 2Tim. 2:15.
How to Make Faith Work.
Faith works by love Gal. 5:6. The extent of our sincere love for God determines the potency of each person’s faith, and what it can make happen.
Faith for Business Breakthrough.
When the faith of a believer comes alive concerning the work of their hands, breakthroughs become unstoppable. Remember, faith is doing what God says as proof that one believes, thereby invoking His power for change of story. What are the things to obey?
- Be Productively Engaged.
Breakthrough in business requires that one is doing something that contributes to life, popularly called work Psa. 1:3; Ecc. 9:10. Stop waiting for the right work; start with what is available and at the level you are.
- Be Diligent at Work.
Diligence simply means hard-work towards a defined goal; it guarantees breakthrough and greatness Pro. 22:29.
- Be Committed to Following Divine Direction.
When one follows God’s leading concerning their work, supernatural profit is guaranteed in spite of the oppositions and limitations Isa. 48:17,21.
- Be Committed to Excellence.
Breakthrough is only for those who deliver excellence at work 1Sam. 16:18-19; Psa. 78:72. Excellence is a function of skill and competence; these are virtues that are developed through commitment to training.
- Be Committed to Integrity.
Integrity is the virtue of being wholesome, both in secret and in the open. It has the power to turn any dummy from obscurity into limelight Pro. 14:34.

Giving is the covenant that determines the harvest an individual will have in life Gen. 8:22; Pro. 11:24-25. It includes kingdom promotion giving, ministering to the needy, and more.
Conclusion.
Life is a function of responsibility Deu. 28:1. No one and nothing has the power to stop another when that person has accepted responsibility for their life.
Salvation Prayer.
To anyone reading this who desires to give their life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart:
“Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me; on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you, Jesus, for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen!”
Prayer.
- Father, in the name of Jesus, empower me by the Holy Spirit for the 21 days of prayer and Father, empower me by Your Spirit to give myself to the responsibilities of building faith, enabling me to command breakthroughs throughout this year 9:23.
