Memory verse:
“He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
Rom 4:21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.” Rms. 4:20.21.
The nature of God is to declare His intention before execution Isa. 42:9; 46:9-10. In essence, God will never do a thing until He has first revealed it to man Amos 3:7. When God speaks of or the believer finds what God has said in His word, it simply shows what He has committed himself to do. We must understand that though God said it and He is committed to do it, only when we accept responsibility that we will see it become a reality 1Tim. 1:18. From scriptures, thanksgiving is the kingdom responsibility that guarantee the fulfilment of whatever God has spoken Rms. 4:20-21. Understanding how thanksgiving works will strengthen our commitment to engaging it.
Understanding how thanksgiving works for prophecy fulfilment.
- Understand that prayer is a covenant requirement to see prophecies fulfilled.
From scriptures, we understand that every prophecy that will be fulfilled demands warfare 1Tim. 1:18; Mat. 11:12. Prayer is a vital platform for engaging in this warfare to bring prophecy into fulfilment Deu. 2:24.
- Every prayer requires thanksgiving to command answer.
The scriptures make it clear that thanksgiving is a must for prayer to qualify for answer, resulting in the delivery of the prophecy Php. 4:6; Mat. 6:9-13.
In essence, thanksgiving is the covenant force that enhances fulfilment of prophecy Mat. 16:18; Acts 5:40-42; 6:7.
