Memory verse:
“For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.”
Pro 23:18.
This topic suggests that there is power in expectation, and the power is capable of bringing desires into reality. In essence, any desire a believer has will only require his expectation to come alive to see it become delivered Pro. 23:18. From scriptures, we understand that when expectation is based on what God has said, it is referred to as faith Heb. 11:1. And faith guarantees the delivery of every desire Mk. 9:23.
Understanding the power of expectation.
- Expectation makes faith potent and prayer productive
The scriptures make us to understand that without expectation, faith will be fake and impotent Heb. 11:1. And prayer without faith is effort in vain Jms. 1:6-7. In essence, expectation validates faith and makes prayer fruitful.
- Expectation translates desires to manifestation.
The scriptures instruct that whatever we desire, we should pray to have it become manifest in reality Mk. 11:24. But for the prayer to produce we must believe, which means to expect, and then we are guaranteed to have our desires 1Sam. 1:13-14.
