Every person is created by God, and each one is made in the image and likeness of the ‘most High’ God Psa. 100:3; Gen. 1:26-27. This means every person has a destiny of glory Isa. 43:21. Salvation through Christ brings into the life that enables one to experience the destiny of glory ordained by God Rms. 8:29-30; 2Pet. 1:3. We must understand that, it takes the help of the Holy Spirit for the life of Christ received at salvation to deliver, particularly, the destiny of glory Zch. 4:1-6; 1Cor. 12:7. This is why a good understanding of the Holy Spirit; who He is, His mission, and growing intimacy with Him, is vital to fulfilling our glorious destiny Psa. 119:144; Pro. 21:16.
Understanding the Holy Spirit and What is Does.
- The Holy Spirit Empowers Believers to Fulfill Our Glorious Destiny.
Two major ways among others that the Holy Spirit empowers us to accomplish our glorious destiny are:
i) The Spirit of Faith.
As the Spirit of faith, the Holy Spirit empowers us to believe all things, no matter how impossible they may appear Acts 24:14; 2Cor. 4:13. We only become what we believe Lk. 1:45; Mk. 9:23; Hab. 2:1-4. The Holy Spirit helps us to believe the great heights and tasks God has for us as individuals, and we soon become it.
ii) The Spirit of Guidance
The Holy Spirit guides us in God’s path towards the realization of our glorious destiny Jn. 16:13; Isa. 48:17-21. His guidance is step-by-step, and little-by-little, until we fully step into the glory ordained for us Exo. 13:17; Deu. 7:22; Pro. 4:18.
- The Holy Spirit Protects Us Against the Wicked.
We live in a world enveloped in wickedness 1Jn. 5:18-19. The forces of wickedness have the mission to steal, kill, and destroy people’s glorious destiny Jn. 10:10; 1Pet. 5:8. The Holy Spirit is the seal over believers that protects them against the wickedness of the wicked Eph. 1:13; Psa. 105:13-15. This means, the wicked is not permitted to come near anyone with the seal of the Holy Spirit upon his life Ezk. 9:6; Zch. 2:8; Lk. 10:17-19. This is why baptism with the Holy Ghost, with the evidence of speaking in tongues is a must for every believer.
Conclusion.
The truth is that every person without an exception, is ordained for a glorious destiny. This can only be made a reality by our power or might, it is only by the Spirit of God working through us Zch. 4:1-6.
Salvation Prayer.
To anyone reading this who desires to give their life to Christ, pray this prayer out loud with me from your heart:
“Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me my sins; wash me with your blood. I believe you died for me; on the third day you rose again that I may be justified. Right now, I believe that my sins are forgiven; I’m justified by your blood; I’m born-again; I’m saved; I’m a child of God; I’m free from the power of sin to serve the living God. Thank you, Jesus, for receiving me; thank you Jesus for restoring me; thank you Jesus for saving me. Amen!”
