Memory verse:
“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his
heart is not with thee.”
- Pro 23:7.
We understand from scriptures that stewardship in the kingdom is beyond being assigned a task, occupying a position, and having a title. True stewardship demands that one deliver result to expectation Matt. 25:14-27. An unproductive steward does not only lose the rewards, he stands the risk of being punished like an unbeliever Matt. 25:30; Lk. 13:6-9. From scriptures, we understand that our capacity to produce result depend largely on our mentality Pro. 23:7; 4:23. In essence, how productive the believer will be primarily is not a function of much of effort made, but the state or kind of mind he possesses Pro. 23:7.
Therefore, to be a fruitful steward, one must possess the right mind. From scriptures, we shall be identifying the kinds of mind for fruitful stewardship in our teachings this week. I see you become supernaturally fruitful in stewardship and life from today!
The Right Mind for Fruitful Stewardship.
- We must possess a sower’s mentality.
Every believer that desires fruitful stewardship must understand that every labor into the kingdom is seed sown. And when a seed is sown, though may not bring fruit instantly, it has the guarantee of harvest Gen. 8:22; Gal. 6:7-8. In essence, when we keep at making investments into the kingdom, at the right time the harvest will come forth. Harvest here refers to both the result for our labor, and the due reward for our result.
We have the examples of Anna and Epaphras in scriptures, who were sowing spiritual seeds in prayer, and their harvest were delivered ultimately as they kept at it Lk. 2:37-38; Col. 4:12.
A sower’s mentality is sure to empower the believer’s steadfastness in stewardship to the point of fruitfulness and rewards. As we engage the sowers mindset in the on-going ‘Operation who is on the Lord’s side’, I see each one of us command strange dimension of result that will entitle us for great rewards.
