Soul winning is the major task given to believers as clearly stated by Jesus (Jn. 15:16; Mk. 16:15-16). Just like in college (university), there are major, minor, and elective courses; good performance in majors is essential to end with a good grade from the school. But a good understanding is vital for good performance in any given task (Pro. 21:16; Psa. 119:144). The misconceptions and deficient understanding of scriptural truth about soul winning are behind the weak commitment of believers (Ecc. 9:14-16; Dan. 12:3).
Scriptural Understanding that Sparks Passion for Soul Winning.
- Soul Winning Validates Love for God.
Love for God turns an individual into a living wonder (1Cor. 2:9). One cannot claim to love God when he does not love what God loves. God so loved the world that He went all the way to rescue man from perishing (Jn. 3:16). If a believer truly loves God, he will love go all the way to see the unsaved turned to God (Jn. 21:15-17).
- Giving Attention to What Concerns God Entitles Divine Intervention.
The reconciliation of every unsaved is the heartbeat of God because all souls belong to Him (Ezk. 18:4; Isa. 43:21). The pursuit of the reconciliation of unsaved to God shows attending to what concerns God (1Tim. 2:4). Faithfulness in what concerns God moves Him to fix all things that concern a believer (Lk. 16:12).
Jesus is Lord!
Prayer.
Father, I receive the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to remain steadfast in pursuit of the salvation of the unsaved for life (Acts 1:8).
Action.
Draw your schedule and plan for soul winning this week.

By the power of the Holy Spirit, no unsaved soul shall escape your hand again!
